SIHH 2011 News Piaget launches it first Ultra-Thin Automatic Tourbillon watch at SIHH 2011

Drawing upon the qualities of Piaget Calibre 600P – the world’s thinnest handwound shaped movement – as well as those of Piaget Calibre 1208P – the world’s thinnest self-winding movement equipped with a micro-rotor – Calibre 1270P is Piaget’s first ever self-winding ultra-thin tourbillon movement.

The Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic housing this cushion-shaped movement holds the world record for slenderness of any watch currently on the market, since its case measures a mere 10.4 mm thick. This exceptional timepiece offers a dial-side view of the off-centred gold micro-rotor entwined with the equally offset tourbillon carriage, while the laser-engraved sapphire crystal also reveals the most fascinating mechanical components, from the self-winding mechanism to the hand-fitting.
