Homage to F. A. Lange

World tour with exclusive watch-shows

In continuation of the “Homage to F. A. Lange” world tour, Lange will exhibit the famous anniversary collection in exclusive shows in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing. Apart from the Geneva Salon in January, the collection as a whole has only been displayed to selec-
ted audiences in Dresden, Shangai and Dubai, where the exhibition was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Created in commemoration of the 165th anniversary of F. A. Lange’s opening his workshop in Glashütte in 1845, the collection comprises the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON and the 1815 MOONPHASE “Homage to F. A. Lange”, as well as the most complicated Lange watch of modern times, the new TOURBOGRAPH “Pour le Mérite” with a tourbillon, rattrapante chronograph and chain-and-fusée transmission.

Furthermore, the exhibition includes the most complicated watch ever accomplished by Lange. Master watchmaker Jan Sliva will present the pocket watch Grande Complication No. 42500, dating from 1902. Rediscovered in 2001 in most regrettable condition, it was restored to its original glory in a process that took Jan Sliva until 2009. The pocket watch No. 42500 incorporates a chiming mechanism with grand and small strike, minute repeater, split seconds chronograph with minute counter and flying seconds and a perpetual calendar with moon-
phase display and is the only of its kind ever built.
