Milestones of timekeepingThe OMEGA Museum Collection

The Omega Museum Collection arose from a desire to combine the historical milestones of timekeeping with the technology of the 21st century. The collection mainly targets collectors and aficionados of extraordinary watches. The first model is a new edition of a pilot's watch from 1938. Apart from changes to various technological details and materials to bring them up to date, the watch is the same as its predecessor.

Even the bi-directional turning bezel mechanism, which allows an additional time scale to be moved on the dial, was kept. The watch has a striking dark-brown calfskin strap. One extravagant detail as a tribute to early pilot habits is an additional, extra-wide leather strap (approx. 6x60cm), which can be used for wearing the watch above the knee.  Inscriptions on case-back: "THE OMEGA MUSEUM COLLECTION", year of original "1938", "PILOT'S WATCH", specification "COLLECTOR'S SERIES NUMBER ONE" and limited edition number from "0001/1938" to "1938/1938".
