The OMEGA MUSEUM COLLECTION is a collector’s collection that mainly targets enthusiasts of extraordinary watches. Each year, a new limited edition with historical significance for the brand is added to the collection, the „Racend Timer“ being N°8. The timepiece pays tribute to the first photo-finish camera„Racend Timer“, introduced in 1949. This revolutionary piece of sports timekeeping technology solved the issue of multiple finish line arrivals in track competitions. The "Racend Timer" is limited to 1, 949 pieces worldwide and is available now in Austria.

The 39 mm case, the bezel, the case back as well as the hour and minute hands are made of 18k rose gold. The polished clasped case back is decorated with a special Museum engraving and the limited edition number. The sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment reveals the opaline silver dial with a red pulsometer scale and blue tachymeter scale. The “Racend Timer” is driven by the exclusive Omega 3201 caliber movement, which has incorporated the groundbreaking Co-Axial Escapement and a free-sprung balance to provide steadfast long-term accuracy and reliability. The COSC-certified chronometer is equipped with a sophisticated column-wheel mechanism.

The “Racend Timer” has an alligator strap fitted an 18k rose gold buckle. The watch is supplied in a special wooden presentation box. The recommended retail price is 10,370 Euro.
