Vacheron Constantin is beginning a new chapter in the history of the sports collection from the Manufacture with the launch of the Overseas Small Model Date Self-Winding, a version featuring a subtle blend of character and elegance. Constituting both a precious piece of jewellery and a resolutely technical timepiece, this new Overseas ladies’ watch is notably distinguished by its 36 mm-diameter case in 18-carat pink gold and by its mechanical self-winding movement.
Created in 2006, Vacheron Constantin’s Atelier Cabinotiers revives the very unique spirit of 18th century Geneva. At that time, prestigious clients came to order directly from the cabinotiers, the watch industry craftsmen who forged the city’s reputation. Royalty such as King Fouad of Egypt or his son King Farouk were also ferevent collectors of one-of-a-kind models created by the Manufacture. Today, for the first time, Vacheron Constantin is unveiling two timepieces ordered from Atelier Cabinotiers, a new and unique service that custom-makes Fine Watches.
The El Primero Striking 10th chronograph embodies the grand return of the Manufacture Zenith to the technical values that have forged the brand’s success. Unequalled to date, the legendary El Primero calibre was the world’s first automatic chronograph to beat at a rate of 10 vibrations per second. It is the most sophisticated mechanical ‘motor’ and the one boasting the highest degree of precision, since the vast majority of other mechanical movements beat at 8 vibrations per second at best.
A longstanding part of the Vacheron Constantin watchmaking heritage, the World Time complication is making a noteworthy comeback to the collections from the Manufacture. The Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time model houses the new Calibre 2460WT bearing the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva. Developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, this new mechanical self-winding movement is distinguished by its capacity to indicate the world’s 37 time zones, including those offset from Universal Coordinated Time (UCT) by a half - or quarter-hour – an exclusive mechanism patented by Vacheron Constantin.

Until recently, the world's rarest frog was thought to be Isthmohyla rivularis, which was rediscovered in 2008 in the rainforests of Costa Rica. Now, however, that tiny tree frog's place in the record books has been taken by a new amphibian, one with a black satin skin tough enough to take anything the jungle can dish out: MB&F's Frog Zr, a numbered limited edition of just 18 pieces.
It is now more than five years since Moser introduced the Perpetual 1 as the world’s fi rst watch with the already legendary Flash Calendar. It is still the only watch with a perpetual calendar which can be accessed with consummate ease and only via the crown, and without even having to read the operating instructions. “GEOGRAPH rainforest” associates the unique Louis Moinet legacy with an exceptional new material: petrified palm wood. Each watch sold will enable a substantial contribution to the “PULAU BANDING Foundation”, which aims to preserve the Malaysian tropical forest of Belum-Temengor, one of the oldest in the world. The two chronograph counters are made from genuine petrified palm wood. This emblematic tree believed to be 70 million years old comes from the tropical forests of South-East Asia. Its origins and its venerable age make it the ideal ambassador for the “Rainforest” project.
