Why not?A watch of superlatives: NIVREL Plongeur Shark Sea

”Because it is there!“ In the Twenties of the last century, this was the answer of the famous mountain climber George Mallory on the question, why he was trying to reach the summit of Mount Everest – the mountain of superlatives. Pretty much the same love of adventure affected our designers when planning the NIVREL Shark Sea (Ref. N 350.001). It is also a watch of superlatives. The movement in the centre of the diving instrument is a Swiss manual winding movement with a one-minute tourbillon and a double barrel. Provided functions are a power reserve indication of 120 hours, and a retrograde date indication as well as hours, minutes, and a second indication through the moving tourbillon cage. Together with the screwed crown, the screwed case back and the massive sapphire crystal, the left-rotating diving bezel of massive gold gives the watch a water-resistancy of record-breaking 300 bar!

Some people might ask for the sense of building a tourbillon into a rather functional diving in-strument. The answer is easy: ‘Because it is possible!’ Just like its owner, the NIVREL Shark Sea is beyond these reproaches and winkingly asks the counterquestion: ‘Why not?’
