The Art of watchmaking Exhibition in PragueJaeger-LeCoultre is presenting La Grande Maison

At the occasion of 600 years Anniversary of the Prague Astronomical Clock, the world exhibition "The Art of watchmaking" is held from February, 5th to March 29th, 2011. This exhibition is taking place in the Cross Hall and Knight's Hall of the Prague Old Town Hall. It is divided into three parts, the first one focuses on Prague´s Astronomical Clock, the second on Czech watchmaking and the third one on the famous Swiss and German manufacturers.

For the first time, in one place in Prague, the world's largest manufactures and watchmaker legends will be introduced. During this period, Jaeger-LeCoultre is showing its watchmaking history and Savoir-Faire from the 19th century to the present time. With over 177 years of expertise in high watch making, Jaeger-LeCoultre is a major player in watchmaking history. The exhibition can display to the visitors the major creations of the Manufacture through the time: pocket watches from the 19th century, the first Reverso models from the 1930’s, jewellery watches from the 1920’s, military watches from the 1940’s and of course the latest complications like Minute Repeater from the last two decades. Jaeger-LeCoultre is showing also technical highlights like the lever winding mechanism invented by Antoine LeCoultre or the smallest mechanical Calibres in the world, the Calibre 101.

Visit our exhibition in the Prague Old Town Hall to (re)discover Jaeger-LeCoultre’s history and savoir-faire. It is open every day from 10:00 – 18:00.
