Sky du Mont visits Glashütte Original
Last Friday, before appearing as the presenter for “Diva Maxima”, the actor Sky du Mont paid a visit to the Glashütte Original manufactory. The Saxon watchmaking company was one of the main sponsors involved in supporting this unique musical event. Dr. Frank Müller, Managing Director of Glashütte Original, personally greeted Mister du Mont in the production workshops. In the studio, Sky du Mont then learned something of the fine art of watch design as practiced by the master watchmakers in Glashütte Original.
At the workbenches he received an explanation of how a watch is created and which skills a watchmaker is expected to have. “Fascinating and extremely impressive”, was how the actor described the expertise of the watchmakers. Looking through the microscope, Sky du Mont was able to see for himself how tiny the individual parts are and expressed great admiration for the dexterity of the watchmakers. In the manufactory’s in-house showroom, Sky du Mont was then presented with a Senator Calendar Week as his watch for the evening’s event. At the same time, Frank Müller expressed his pleasure at now being able to welcome the charismatic film and television actor as a future friend of the company.
