After a thrilling competition, the Swiss Paul Estermann wins the “Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz” in St. Gallen with Castlefield Eclipse. Last year, Longines consolidated its involvement in the event as title partner.

During this year’s Longines CSIO Schweiz, St. Gallen was once again the place to be for the world’s best riders and their horses. The enthusiastic crowd was happy to attend the thrilling performances of their stars and to see equestrian sports at its highest level. The prestigious „Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz“ – one of the highlights of the event - was won by Swiss rider Paul Estermann and his mare Castlefield Eclipse. He was followed by Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP) with Zipper on the second and Fabio Crotta from Switzerland with Rubina Vlll on the excellent third place. The winner received an elegant Longines watch from the brand’s President Walter von Känel.

Furthermore, the Longines Trophy, awarded to the best rider of the event, was won by Olivier Philippaerts from Belgium.

During the event, Longines also provided its support to the charity association JustWorld International. In this perspective, Longines set up a “Longines Clear The Jump” contest during the “Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz”. Every obstacle faultlessly cleared had Longines make a donation to JustWorld International. With this project, a total could be generated which correlates with 5000 meals for children in developing countries.
