American basketball legend and HUBLOT ambassadorKobe Bryant shows his King Power Black Mamba in Abu Dhabi
On 26th September in Abu Dhabi, dozens of fans gathered outside the Hublot boutique, located in the Marina Mall, hoping to see Kobe Bryant, who was there especially to present his Hublot timepiece, the King Power Black Mamba. He was welcomed to the event by Marco Tedeschi, Hublot Director in the Middle-East, and representatives of the Seddiqi family, partners and long-time friends of the Swiss watch brand.
A global star, his speed, similar to that of a black mamba snake, his stealthy manner and his physical power made him a basketball legend, rare and versatile. Inspired by his constant endeavour to go beyond the limits and his tireless taste for victory, Kobe Bryant is part of the family of Hublot ambassadors; all living legends, such as the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, and Ferrari.
Kobe Bryant expressed great pride at being able to present the King Power Black Mamba in Abu Dhabi and said: "My motto is to feel confident and always on the move. This is why I did not hesitate for a second about joining the Hublot family. What is more, I love my King Power Black Mamba watch, which symbolises the combination of fine expertise used in watchmaking and my favourite sport, basketball.".

To celebrate this partnership, Hublot unveiled a limited edition King Power Black Mamba which was created specially for Kobe last March in Los Angeles. The collection, which is limited to just 250 pieces in the world, includes several elements in honour of Kobe's career and basketball in general.
The number 24, clearly visible on the watch, was the number he wore on his shirt and the dial tinted in purple and gold celebrates the collective achievements and success of the "purple and gold dynasty" of the Los Angeles Lakers. A black mamba, his nickname, snakes across the open dial, an element that adds a mysterious and charismatic dimension. To complete the design of the timepiece, a black python-skin bracelet stitched on black rubber, and a case back engraved with Kobe Bryant's signature are faithful to the concepts dear to Hublot: "The Art of Fusion".
