TrustedWatch overtakes the Chancellor’s website
TrustedWatch: 100,000 Facebook Fans
It all kicked off on the 6th of August 2011. After only a few months, TrustedWatch has reached the milestone of 100,000 fans on Facebook. With this achievement, TrustedWatch is now playing in a Facebook appearance league with top brand names, such as Kinder chocolate, Disney Deutschland, or Douglas, the perfumery chain. At http://www.famecount.com, TrustedWatch is currently lying in 189th place, topping the German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel's own fan count.
In general, few online media achieve this high number of fan figures. The German magazine Focus currently has just over 16,000 fans and Spiegel Online magazine has 166,000 fans. The magazine auto motor and sport can boast just 9,500 fans and the ComputerBild magazine registers more than 36,000 fans.
The TrustedWatch Managing Director traces back the source of the high TrustedWatch fan count on Facebook, on the one hand, to the many loyal regular users who provided the speedy first wave for the necessary dissemination. On the other hand, it is most definitely the independent and attractive offers on the Facebook site, differing from many other standard Facebook sites, which only reproduce their own homepage offers. The TrustedWatch Facebook presence has obviously caught the eye of the ladies and the younger generation. Women have caught up with the men on Facebook, and the ratio amongst fans is nearly 50:50. The average fan age is between 10 to 15 years under that of the classic TrustedWatch online offer user. Thanks to Facebook, TrustedWatch is the Number 1 amongst the ladies and the younger generation when it comes to the subject of watches!
It is gratifying for Managing Director Frank Ammann that, with Facebook, an important step has been taken toward the internationalisation of TrustedWatch. These new and inspired TrustedWatch fans and users come, as can be seen, from more than 140 countries, in particular from Eastern Europe and Russia, as well as from Asia.
"As an initial consequence, we will be starting another language version of TrustedWatch this year“, explains Editor in Chief Dr. Klaus Adam. Other language versions should be implemented quickly to further develop a leading international position in the timepiece sector. Frank Ammann underlines this: "This internationalisation was planned from the outset by TrustedWatch and we want to be permanently perceived as the Number 1 in the area of timepieces and luxury watches, and not only in the German and English-speaking areas."
