Chrono24: Watch retailer Relojes Exclusivos contravenes copyright laws
Good watch photos are rare on the Internet. For online watch traders they are often the decisive factor as to the success of their offers. Manufacturer's own images are unable to be sourced due to the copyrights for their use, and making original professional photos is usually much too expensive. The Spanish supplier Relojes Exclusivos has found "their" own way around this problem. They copied photos from the German watch forum.
For example, the case of member MarTIMER, victims of image piracy regarding the images of their ORIS TT 1 Divers Date steel blue. Without taking into consideration the copyright laws, the Spanish supplier just used their pictures. In general, nobody is protected against copyright infringements; however, such behaviour is to be vehemently condemned. So Chrono24, as the operator of the marketplace, would be well-advised to delete these images as an acknowledgement as soon as possible, and to admonish such marketplace deviants in order to permanently prevent any recurrence of this abuse. Otherwise a claim will be summarily initiated on behalf of the injured parties against Chrono24 on account of their legal liabilities as a Provider.
