Incomprehensible
Die Zeit and Google advertise watch replicas and copied watches
Advertisements from Google, so-called Google-Ads have their traps. Even renowned publications like „Die Zeit“ are not protected against image-damaging advertisements on their Internet appearances, as long as they automatically place advertisements from Google. That even Internet pages with offers relevant for legal prosecution in Germany are operated is remarkable and surely not in the interest of the involved companies.
„Die Zeit“ is currently advertising the provider watchcopy.biz under http://www.zeit.de who offers „Copies of brand name watches". Arriving on watchcopy, you will read the following welcome text: „Beautiful replica watches of top brands with automatic clockwork and scratch-resistant glass“. And more: „Many people shy away from buying a replica watch, because they lay much value on a very high quality processing and also fear that you could notice the difference between an original brand name watch and a replica. These doubts are however, at the latest, forgotten when the customer holds their replica watch is their hands. In most cases the customers are surprised with the high quality and are excited.“
Nearly all luxury brands are offered: A. Lange & Söhne, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard, Chronoswiss, IWC, Jaeger LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Rado, TAG Heuer, Vacheron Constantin and Zenith.
But the joy about the purchase usually lasts a very short time. The suppliers are nearly all located abroad, and many buyers are not aware that customs is obliged to confiscate replica watches and destroy them. Buyers of fraudulent watches then go empty-handed. They pay the purchase price and do not receive the watch. Asking for return from the seller is usually fruitless. And then there is also the risk of a lawsuit from the brand owner. Many manufacturers now also take drastic measures even against end consumers.
But the purchase of product frauds could turn out to be a mistake not only because of the possible juristic consequences: The quality of the frauds is usually low. The frauds may be identical in looks, but nearly always only the cheapest materials are used for production. Quite often, the watches only work a few weeks, with no guarantee and no service.
Regarding the facts we can only speak a warning against such offers! The quality and price/performance ratio are in no comparison to the printed brand and to the risk of a total loss including legal consequences. Too bad, that a serious medium like "Die Zeit" gives its name for such offers. Sometimes, less (advertisement) is more.
P.S. Google Ads change permanently. The chance that you see the link "live" is limited.
