For the watch buyer who trusts in the valency of a watch brand, and who has paid the full price for it must surely feel that such a business policy is highly questionable. Customers who are oriented towards design usually place great value on a consistent and sustainable complete brand concept. However, the excessive discounts they offer are only likely to ruin the image of Danish Design in the long run.

All this makes no difference to the brand owner; always ready to make a quick buck at the expense of existing customers and current specialist suppliers. A serious and proper brand policy looks a lot different to the one they're running. And the "red dot" design prize of 2008 doesn't help much either.
